I am writing to let you know about developments in regard to the sale of the Craigie Church building. The Church of Scotland General Trustees have accepted an offer from the Light and Life Mission Group and the church building is therefore now 'under offer'. The Kirk Session were informed that there was a bid from the Craigie Community Group for a Community buyout, however this was later withdrawn. The Kirk Session and the General Trustees have therefore now accepted the offer from the highest bidder, which was the Light and Life Mission Group, which has been renting the building now for some time. The timescale for the sale of the building has not been decided yet, but the Kirk Session’s hope is that the final service will be at Easter.  The Light and Life Mission Group have indicated that they will seek to ensure that the community groups which presently utilise the building can continue to do so. 
It is hoped that the process for voting on the Basis of Union between Craigie & Moncreiffe and St Leonard’s-in-the-Fields will take place in the near future.
