Craigie & Moncreiffe Church has now moved on to the next stage in our search for a new Minister.
In July, an Electoral Register was compiled. This is a list on members and adherents who will be eligible to vote when the time comes to appoint a new Minister.
On 31st July, after the service at Craigie, a Nominating Committee was formed, comprising thirteen people whose task it will be to select one person to present to the congregation as Sole Nominee.
This committee have now prepared a Parish Profile, outlining the life, work and witness of the congregation, and this was subsequently approved by the Kirk Session. This is made available to anyone considering applying to be our Minister.
CRAIGIE AND MONCREIFFE CHURCH NOMINATING COMMITTEE STATEMENT.
The congregation of Craigie and Moncreiffe Church are awaiting the results of a feasibility study being undertaken by external consultants which should be in the hands of the Kirk Session by the end of 2017.
This study will examine in detail both Church buildings and all adjoining halls to assess their present condition and estimate what will be involved in bringing these properties up to an acceptable standard for use by the congregation and the local community.
As a result of this study, difficult questions will be put to the united congregation about the future of the Church buildings and any answers will, inevitably, be difficult for some members to accept.
The implementation of the feasibility study will be a challenge and, we hope, an inspiration to any future minister as we plan 'ten years ahead' and try to shape a strategy for the future mission of the Church in this part of Perth.
